Contribution Type
General Guidelines:
- Participation is open for all dentists, general dental practitioners and dental specialists.
- Each participant can present either a presentation or a poster.
- No more than two presenters for each presentation.
- Acceptance of submission is subject solely at the discretion of the scientific committee, whose decision should be final.
- The organizing Committee reserves the right to reclassify submitted abstracts into the most appropriate area of review.
- The presentation and abstract should be in English.
- Presenters are responsible for obtaining permissions to use copyright materials
- If the research includes human or animal subjects, appropriate ethics declarations are needed.
- If the research includes human subjects or human tissues, Consent to participate and Consent to publish are needed.
- Participation should be done with presenter full name, contact details, qualification degree and specialty.
Conference workshops
You need to register for the workshops. The duration of the workshops is scheduled as 3 hours. They should be highly motivating, interactive, and have hands-on training. You may use your own computer in the workshop. If you are using a Mac or tablet, make sure whether you need a data projector adaptor.
Posters
Structure: background, summary of work, results, discussion, conclusions & take-home messages. Word count: 350. Orientation in portrait (Landscape orientation is not accepted). Dimensions 95*140 cm at most. Posters should NOT be sent to us in advance. Your responsibility to fix it on stand no. designated for you. Research papers
Research papers represent original work in…
Abstract structure: Introduction, methods, results, discussion & Conclusion, keywords. Word count up to 400. May include 1-2 references.
Deadline for submission: 14:00 pm (Libya local time) on 00th of Sep 2022. Decisions will be notified at most by 00.00 pm on the 00th of Nov.
Common reasons for rejection:
- Unclear research question.
- Significant lack of methodological details.
- English level significantly below average.
- Poor abstract structure.
Clinical Case Report
Title: short, descriptive, and interesting.
Introduction: typically describes the context of the case shortly and explains its aim or relevance and importance.
Case Description: follows the basic rules of medical communication; describes the history chronologically, physical examination, investigations, and the patient’s progress and outcome.
Discussion: its main purpose is to review why decisions were made and extract the lesson from the case, boasting it is the “first” to describe a particular phenomenon, and highlighting teaching points in clear and concise language.
Abstract guidelines
- Title: around 10 to 15 words long.
- Abstract, preferably not more than 300 words and use the past tense.
- Write it in one paragraph, denoting the background, aims, materials and methods, results and conclusion.
- Keywords: An abstract submission may select up to 5 keywords.
- If the abstract is for a case report write the details of your case as follows: Patient description, case history, physical examination results, results of pathological tests and other investigations, treatment plan, expected outcome and actual outcome.
- Abstract should not contain the following:
- Lengthy background information.
- Reference to other literature.
- Elliptical or incomplete sentences.
- Abbreviations.
- Any sort of illustration, figure or table.
- Font: Times New Roman, black, size 12.
- Main submission document in Microsoft word format (no PDF or other file types).
- Submission: abstract should be submitted before the deadline date.
